Q. WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
A. Currently, sessions are being held in Toronto and the surrounding area. My dream is to expand this project nationwide and bring on board Ambassador Photographers to document Heart Warriors across Canada. If you are interested in a session outside of Toronto, please sign up for our newsletter at the bottom of this page and I will update you as soon as we start growing!
Q. WHO IS MY PHOTOGRAPHER?
A. The founder of Project Mighty Hearts, Jen Allison will be your photographer until Ambassador Photographers are brought on board. At that time, a photographer will be assigned to you and your family.
Q. WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I APPLY FOR A SESSION?
A. You will be added to the Heart Family Photo List for the quarter of the year that you apply in. Based on the details you provide in your application, we will do our best to accommodate your timeline and any other requests. A photographer will reach out to schedule the session and provide a contract for you to review and sign.
Q. WHAT IF MY CHILD IS NOT FEELING WELL FOR THE SESSION DATE? CAN I RESCHEDULE?
A. Absolutely. We will do our best to reschedule in a timely manner, but we also understand that sometimes Heart Warriors have to fight a little bit harder when they become sick. Please let your photographer know with as much notice as possible and we will work to reschedule a new date.
Q. WHAT IF I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE BOTH THE IN-HOSPITAL AND AT-HOME SESSIONS?
A. If that's the case, we say YAY!!! All we ask is that there is a 10-12 month pause between the sessions. This is so we can ensure other Heart Families can have photos taken as well and so some time passes between the in-hospital session and the at home session when your Heart Warrior is recovered and thriving! The difference will be unreal and such a wonderful story to capture for them.
Q. HOW MANY PHOTOS DO I GET? DO I GET PRINTS?
A. Each photo session will include up to 20 digital images for your personal use to share with family or friends or create your own beautiful prints. We will provide you image files that you can print at your own convenience, but our intent is to help make life easier for you, so various prints and products outside the free digital images included in the session are available and at a discounted rate.
Q. DO I PICK THE DATE AND TIME OF THE SESSION?
A. Please note the dates of your anticipated stay at the hospital, if you are applying for an in-hospital session. We will do our best to accommodate your timelines for the photo sessions. Otherwise, dates and times will be scheduled one-on-one with with photographer assigned to you.
Q. CAN I BUY MY OWN SESSION FOR MY HEART FAMILY INSTEAD OF APPLYING?
A. Yes! You are more than welcome to book a family photo session for your heart family rather than applying through Project Mighty Hearts. Just visit here to book a session.
